What you can expect

Initially built for the China tea trade and launched in 1869, the Cutty Sark is a wonder of engineering and design which has now been meticulously conserved. Discover the award-winning museum and visitor experience, as you explore the ship in full. Find out what life was like onboard a true survivor of the seas, see the sailors' quarters and take the helm at the ship's wheel.

Learn about the ambitious 6-year conservation project which saw the ship raised over 3 metres from the ground. Take the unique opportunity to stand directly underneath this miracle of the oceans and observe her elegant lines and ground-breaking design from the original wooden planks to the iron frames.

Then, between 11:30 AM and 2:30 PM, sit down to enjoy a delicious afternoon tea, served on board the Cutty Sark.
