Our tour will start at 9:00 am with a pick-up from your hotel or another agreed location (Podgorica, Budva or Kotor). We will then head towards Lovcen National Park, where we will visit the Lovcen Mausoleum. The Mausoleum is located at the top of Mount Lovcen, at an altitude of 1,657 metres, and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. We will climb 461 steps to the top of the Mausoleum and take in the views from the observation deck.
After enjoying the views, we will descend back down to the base of the mountain and head towards the small village of Njegusi. This village is famous for its traditional Montenegrin delicacies, including prosciutto, cheese, and honey wine. We will stop at a local tavern to taste these delicious treats and learn about their production. After visiting Njegusi and tasting some delicious Montenegrin specialities, we will continue our journey back to Podgorica, but not before making a quick stop in Cetinje.
Cetinje is a small town located at the foot of Lovcen Mountain and it was the royal capital of Montenegro. Today, it is a charming town with a rich cultural heritage and many historical monuments. We will spend an hour in Cetinje, taking a stroll through its streets and admiring its architecture. We will see the King Nikola's Palace, which served as the residence of the Montenegrin royal family, and the Cetinje Monastery, which houses the relics of Saint Peter of Cetinje, the patron saint of Montenegro. After this, you will be transferred back to your hotel.
