The tour is guided by a local Israeli artist or by an Italian Jewish journalist who lives in Milan.
On this tour we will tour on foot for two and a half hours, in the old quarter of Milan. We will get to know the different periods the city went through and its effects on the Jewish community. We will hear fascinating stories about Jewish life in Milan, the storey of the Jewish community in Milan in the present and in the past, and we will learn about the history of the Jewish people in all of Italy and in Milan in particular. We will follow the remains of Judaism in Milan, interesting monuments that are on the street in a variety of special locations.
Milan is one of the leading Jewish centers in the country. Today, about 5,200 Jews live in Milan, making it the largest Jewish community in Italy after Rome.
The centrepiece of the tour is the Synagogue, Sinagoga Centrale di Milano (Central Synagogue of the City) a 10-minute walk from Milan's famous Duomo.
For an additional fee, by prior arrangement and according to the opening hours of the Holocaust Museum, we can also arrange a tour of the Holocaust Memorial Site, which is also the Holocaust Museum.

Entrance to the synagogue is with a donation of at least 10 euros per person, you need to coordinate the entrance with us in advance.
Our tour does not include a tour of the Holocaust Museum, therefore entrance to the museum is independent. (If you are interested in a tour of the Holocaust Museum, there will be an additional cost).
