What you can expect

On a stable, inflatable raft, speed out to Molokini Crater for an hour of snorkel time. As the boat zips across the gentle waves, take in the views of neighbouring islands, the rugged West Maui Mountains, and Mount Haleakala—a dormant volcano.

Arrive at the crater just in time to see other tour boats depart, leaving you with ample space to explore this world-renowned snorkel and dive location. In protected waters, don high-end gear, take the plunge, and marvel at an underwater world full of vibrant colours and marine life. Drift over the outer reef, which is formed by the rim of the volcano, and see where the water goes from 2 to 200 feet (0.6–61 m) deep.

After more than an hour of water time, head back to the south Maui shores. During the winter months, keep your eyes peeled for majestic humpback whales.
