Activity itinerary

Place de la Comedie (Pass by)
The starting point of your oenological journey will make you discover very colourful, powerful and harmonious wines and the terroirs on which they are produced. These wines will defy time in your cellar. The Médoc, which extends over 80 km, is a peninsula that takes shape north of the Bordeaux conurbation and ends at the Pointe des Graves. The wine route, which crosses it, is long and winding and gives you time to discover a mosaic of plots, dotted with castles of very different styles, sometimes flamboyant, sometimes romantic, sometimes austere. You will be amazed by this mythical road.
Chateau Dauzac
  • 1h 15m
  • Admission ticket not included
Dauzac is the first Château to border the mythical Route des Châteaux. Fifth Classified Growth in the Margaux appellation. It was his steward who invented the "Bordeaux mixture", made from copper sulphate and water. Still used today, this treatment is one of the few authorised in organic farming. A tasting of the estate's wines will be offered at the end of the visit. (Example of visit. The castles visited may differ, depending on your wishes and their availability for visits.)
Chateau Leoville Poyferre
  • 1h 15m

Second Grand Cru Classé of Saint-Julien. Until the 19th century, the Léoville estate formed one of the largest and oldest crus in the Médoc. The vineyard extended from Château Beychevelle to Château Latour. Divided into three parts, the Châteaux Léoville Las Cases, Léoville Barton and Léoville Poyferré remain today. The castle guide will share with you the secrets of working the vines, the different techniques used for vinification and the methods of ageing in oak barrels. At the end of the visit, you will taste the wines of the estate. (Example of visit. The castles visited may differ, depending on your wishes and their availability for visits.)
Restaurant Le Saint Julien
