Also, you will cook under our supervision the most important dish from Cordoba: Salmorejo, sometimes known as Cordoban salmorejo or ardoria and ardorío. It is a cream consisting mainly of tomato and bread originating from Córdoba. We will start with a brief description of the history of how and when Cordoban Salmorejo came about. We'll take a look at the different types and varieties and explain their nutritional properties. During the practical part, you'll prepare your own Salmorejo and paella step by step. We'll go through the ingredients you need and learn how to chop and finally blend them together into a cream. Learning all of this, you will be also tasting the best wine from the city and listening the flamenco.

Es war eine sehr schöne, gemütliche Runde. Das Kochen und Essen hat Spaß gemacht und wir haben einiges über die spanische Küche dazu gelernt.

Barbara was a very sweet young woman. Engaging, patient, and encouraging while I made both the salmorejo and paella. We had lots of laughs during our (my) cooking experience. And I learned a few things.

Chef Adrian was amazing - He explained what certain foods bring to a dish and how to tell by smell and sound when dishes are ready. The food was delicious and not just because we made it but it was made from the heart and soul of our chef.

Our chef and teacher Adrian was awesome. He was patient and fun, and he explained enough for it to be interesting and not too complicated. The location was really cool, a cellar-basement-kitchen-bar. Loved it and would highly recommend.

What a great course! The chef had us make her family's recipe...so that is pretty special! Thanks so much for a lovely time and please send us the recipe! Xo

Bárbara our host was a really nice and friendly girl. She was very knowledgeable and gave us some really good tips. She was also very good telling us some of the history of Cordoba!

Barbara, the host, was a very nice person but she is not a chef or a professional cook; she gave us very dull knives to cut fresh vegetables ( this does not work), very amateurish, cutlery and plates were random pieces. We did a Viator cooking class last year in Athens and it was fantastic (booked via Viator). This one in Cordoba did not come close to meeting our Viator expectations - this harms your reputation as I would be reluctant to use Viator again.

So glad we took this class! My mother and I learned how to make paella and salmorejo: ) we’re Latin American, and with no experience in making paella, we learned the different varieties of paella and how to make traditional salmorejo of cordoba. Barbara, our instructor is a native of cordoba so we learned from the best 🥰 loved the end result of both dishes.

As someone who loves to cook this experience was disappointing. Firstly, I was the only English speaker although it was an English experience, and the host made a limited effort to interpret. The location is not what was shown in the photos. It was a foldable table in a basement and was dusty. There was no requirement for hand washing or avoiding getting raw seafood juice into fresh soup. The other Spanish participants commented on the mediocre quality of ingredients and the lack of authenticity of the paella ingredients and the soup ingredients. It felt like the guide was young and inexperienced cooking and hosting adults. A place to eat was not prepared, and guests ended up pulling up chairs to the same table to food was prepared on. At one point a very dirty extension cord holder was taken off the floor and placed on the food preparation table to power an appliance. I gave the 2 stars because there was a nice wine offered at the start, and I did eat some of the food, and learned the basics of 2 traditional spanish recipes. Viator reached out for a refund, but it was denied. I dislike posting negative reviews, but I hope that others will be able to find a better Cooking experience when visiting Cordoba.
