What you can expect

Meet our tour guide in your city centre hotel's lobby. Then heading directly to first attraction of the day - Tian'anmen Square.

Continue to the Forbidden City, explore most important courtyards and halls along the middle axis of the Forbidden City, as well as the imperial garden, and learn about the uses of these impressive buildings.

There are few options for you to explore the local Hutong allays.
Option 1: Arrive at Drum and Bell Tower area, climb aboard your awaiting rickshaw and set off to experience the old streets of Beijing; learn about communities built around hutongs, then arrive at a local Hutong home to gain insight into the life in Hutong. Greet the courteous family and listen as the local people talk about their way of life. You also have the option to enjoy a delicious homemade lunch in the Hutong family.

Option 2: Arrrive at Beijing Hutong Museum. Stroll around the museum to gain insight into the Hutong history and culture. Take a walk along the Shijia Hutong which is one of the oldest Hutong in Beijing, the Hutong was initially built in the Yuan Dynasty (1271-1368) and renovated in the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). Many celebrated Chinese figures such as intellectuals and officials once lived here.

Stop at one of the local resturant for lunch, then explore one of the local fresh market where you can find fresh fruits, vegetables, herbs, spices, fresh meat and seafood etc.
