Come with us to visit Yoshino Town on a private one-day guided tour

It is an opportunity for us to visit a country village and breathe the clean mountain air, especially during the cherry blossom season in early to mid April. It is beautiful and not to be missed, especially if you visit Japan during this time.

The day consists of a hike from the top of the mountain to its foot. We pass through several stages, all parts of the UNESCO World Heritage under the Sacred Sites and Pilgrimage Routes in the Kii Mountains. We have nature as far as the eye can see, and historic sites from the 9th and 14th centuries.

We begin our visit to the Shinto Kinpu Sanctuary, at the top of the mountain. This monument is part of the UNESCO World Heritage under the title "Sacred Sites and Pilgrimage Routes in the Kii Mountains". This is an opportunity for us to greet the mountain and its guardian deity, before starting our journey and hike.
Yoshino Mikumari Shrine

This sanctuary, also listed in UNESCO, dates from the 17th century and has remained as it is since that time. We can also see historical artefacts from the Edo period.
Hanayagura

Yoshimizu Shrine

The view "A Thousand Trees" from this sanctuary is magnificent, especially during the cherry blossom season. It is also a landmark of Japanese imperial history with the Southern Court of the 14th century.
Naka-senbon

Nakasenbon, "In the Thousand Trees", is actually a real commercial street in the mountains! It's an opportunity for us to stop by for lunch, window shopping, and why not, make a little extras.
Kinpusenji Temple

Ascetic Buddhist monks welcome us to this temple where we can still feel the presence of Kukai, Kobo-Daishi, founder of the place in the 9th century.
