Praca do Marco Zero

The square was originally called Praça Barão do Rio Branco, but became known as Praça do Marco Zero due to the fact that it is home to the kilometre zero of Pernambuco's roads. It is formed by a red coloured marker donated by the Car Club. On the side of the square is a bronze statue of the Baron of Rio Branco, 2.80 m high, by sculptor Felix Charpentier. In the centre, one can see the compass rose by painter Cícero Dias.
Patio de Sao Pedro
