Activity itinerary

Frauenkirche
  • 20m
As this tour is personalised, you can choose your itinerary by yourself as well as the tour’s duration. If you have some suggestions on what you would like to visit, you may ask it in advance, so the guide could prepare the best tour just for you. But there’s no doubt you will see the Frauenkirche, the Gothic cathedral constructed in 1468 that became an unmistakable symbol of Munich. Located near the central Marienplatz, this monumental Gothic masterpiece dominates the landscape and is seen from almost every part of the city. You won’t find a building higher than this in the centre due to the administration height restrictions for new structures. You can either start your journey through the city here or finish it at the perfect viewpoint atop one of the towers and take a breathtaking panorama of the places you’ve already seen or are going to visit and the Alps in the south if the weather is good.
New Town Hall (Neus Rathaus)
  • 20m
Stroll through the central streets of the old town and go through the Marienplatz to see the gorgeous New Town Hall and old St. Peter’s Church. Marvel at the spectacular architecture around you and take pleasure in the immersion into the city’s atmosphere. Feed your mind with splendid views and interesting stories about the past.
Old Town Hall
  • 20m
Admire the Old Town Hall, constructed in 1392/1394 at the east end of the square. The building housed the administration of Munich up until the construction of the New Town Hall in 1874 and was left untouched in contrast to other structures that stood on the place of the New Town Hall. Today it houses some administrative units and offices as well as a Toy museum.
Viktualienmarkt
  • 20m
Make your way to Viktualienmarkt to fell in love with a special climate and to find anything for your taste. Savour mouthwatering smells of one of the most popular markets in Germany and get some recommendations about what products to buy and what stalls to visit from your friendly local guide.
English Garden
  • 20m
Take a walk to the nice and green English Garden passing by the Residenz, a former palace of Bavarian royals. Being one of the largest museum complexes, it is also a highlight of the city. Get reminded of historical events that took place here and at nearby Odeonsplatz. While the bustling city centre keeps running with its fast pace, get some rest and tranquility in a big beautiful park, called English Garden. Created in 1789. it refers to popular in those times English style parks. Being situated along the Isar River, this park offers miraculous views and a variety of leisure activities. The size of the park, its landmarks (Chinese Tower, Monopteros), beer gardens, the relaxing atmosphere made it famous all around the globe.
