What you can expect

Explore some of the most venerable sites in Vietnam on this scenic full-day excursion. Your own personal guide shows you through the grandeur of the country's history, from the ancient Hindu temples in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of My Son to the historic trading port of Hoi An.

Meet your guide for the ride from your hotel to the lush valley that holds My Son, a former capital and religious centre for the Cham people. Admire the red brick towers and sanctuaries that date back to the 7th century, and see why this is regarded as one of the greatest archaeological sites in Southeast Asia.

On your way back, stop by the Thu Bon River for a visit to some local people who breed silkworms and weave beautiful, high-quality silks. Meet a local family for lunch at their home before you take a boat back to Hoi An.

Next, it's time for a brief excursion by motorcycle that takes you around the historic town. Check out the 400-year-old Japanese Bridge, a 300-year-old Chinese temple, and a 200-year-old former merchant house that points to the city's past as one of Asia's most vibrant trading ports before you arrive back at your hotel in the evening.
