What you can expect

Visit Vergina (or Aige in ancient Greek), which is located only 82 km away from Thessaloniki, in central Macedonia. Vergina is Unesco World Heritage Site, where among the other antiquites you will have the chance to see the nicely preserved tomb of King Philip II (father of Alexander the Great) and the tomb of Alexander IV (son of Alexander the Great).

Continuing with our tour, we will visit the city of Veria, stroll around its narrow preserved quorters, see the altar of Apostle Paul and check the oldest Synagoge in the Balkans. Also, free time for lunch in one of the many taverns of Veria and return to Thessaloniki in the afternoon.

On this tour is highly recommended to book additionally a professional licensed English speaking guide (let us know during your booking).
