Yanardag, also known as the "fire mountain," is a natural gas fire that continuously burns on a hillside in Azerbaijan. The flames are believed to have been burning for thousands of years, fuelled by the natural gas reserves in the area. The flames shoot up to a height of 2 metres and can be seen for miles around, especially at night when the fiery glow illuminates the sky.
