ITINERARY:
To visit the colourful mountain Vinicunca and Valle Rojo we will pass at 4:00 a.m. by you to your hotel to board our tourist transport.
We will head south of the city of Cusco to Quiquijana, where we will enjoy a delicious buffet breakfast
After breakfast, we will continue our journey for a few more minutes and take a detour that takes us to the community of Chillihuani and to the checkpoint.
After a few more minutes in the transport, we will arrive at Phulawasipata (vehicle parking), from where we will begin our excursion. Here you will have the option of renting horses to get to the mountain.
Before starting the walk, our guide will give us some recommendations to start our adventure to La Montaña de Colores. Along the way we will have the opportunity to observe magical landscapes, flora and fauna such as: llamas, alpacas, vizcachas, vicuñas and even condors. Our great walk will be for approximately 2 hours to the Montaña de Colores or Montaña de 7 Colores, located at 5,082 metres above sea level.
From the highest part of the mountain we will enjoy a panoramic view of the Vinicunca mountain with its resplendent colours. Likewise, we will have the opportunity to see the Ausangate mountain (the fifth highest mountain in Peru, its maximum altitude is 6372 metres above sea level).
After the visit to the red valley we will walk back to the vehicle car park, where our driver will wait for us (the same transport that will take us to the mountain will return us to the city of Cusco).
After approximately 1 hour 30 minutes we will arrive at the restaurant in Quiquijana where we will enjoy a delicious buffet lunch.
We will board our transport and return to the city of Cusco, end of the service.
