What you can expect

Embark on a 2-day rafting adventure in the Lacandon Jungle. Paddle down the Lacanjá River, visit the Lacanjá archaeological site, and hike to the Moctuniha waterfalls. Enjoy the convenience of return transport from Bonampak to the campsite.

Start your adventure at 11:00 AM and navigate the first part of the river, which consists of a series of waterfalls lasting approximately one hour. After this section, the river becomes calm.

On the first day, visit the Lacanjá archaeological site and the Moctuniha waterfalls, where you can swim and admire the abundant vegetation of the area. To reach them, hike for an hour through the jungle. Sleep in comfortable tents with the relaxing sound of the water.

Continue paddling for 2.5 hours until you reach the closest point between the Lacanjá River and the Bonampak archaeological site. To reach these ruins, hike for 40 minutes through the jungle. After visiting the archaeological site, a van choices you up to return to the camp around 4:00 PM.
