Know before you book

  • The Louvre Museum is currently closed. We will therefore visit Musee d’Orsay instead.
  • If the Eiffel Tower restaurant is closed, your lunch will be provided on the Bateaux Parisiens. Please note: from 1st September 2019, the lunch will be provided at a restaurant at the foot of the Eiffel Tower as the restaurant from the 1st floor will close for refurbishment.
  • Hotel pickup is available from central London hotels only, you must contact Golden Tours at least 24 hours in advance to confirm your hotel pick up.
  • Children under 3 are complimentary. You must bring a valid passport and visa if required. On Tuesdays the Louvre is closed and you will visit Musee d'Orsay instead. Please arrive at least 45min at the train station before your train departure time for check-in.
  • Please note that there is a 1-hour time difference between London and Paris, with Paris 1 hour ahead.
  • Restaurant 58 is closed for refurbishment from 1 September 2019 until Spring 2020. You will be dining at Le Bistro Parisien (located at the foot of the Eiffel Tower) instead.

What you can expect

Stroll along the fashion-packed windows of the Champs-Élysées, admire the architecture of the Arc De Triomphe, and get up-close looks at masterpieces lining the halls of the Louvre. Travel by train from London to Paris and enjoy a 3-course lunch in the iconic Eiffel Tower on this romantic day trip.

Get an early start and make your way to the St. Pancras International Station, just across the street from King's Cross. Meet up with your guide in the Chop'd coffee shop across from the Eurostar entrance and chat for a few moments about the day's itinerary before you check in and find your seat on the train.

When you pull into Gare du Nord, disembark and follow your guide on a whirlwind introduction to the City of Light. Meander past the Arc De Triomphe's Neoclassic Roman stylings, follow the tree-lined boulevard of the Champs-Élysées, and spend some time watching the graceful waterworks in front of the Palais de Chaillot at Trocadero.

Reach the Eiffel Tower and head to the restaurant on the second floor for a leisurely 2-course lunch featuring light starters like smoked salmon and celery remoulade, and decadent entrees including cod filet with Parmesan risotto.

Follow lunch with a visit to the Louvre, where you can admire stunning sculptures, like the Venus de Milo and extraordinary paintings, including the Mona Lisa. When your art exploration is over, head back to Gare du Nord for your evening train back to London.
