This relaxing safari float trip takes you onto the Peñas Blancas River, where you will get to see tropical birds such as orioles, toucans, and kingfishers, as well as monkeys, poison dart frogs, alligators, and more! This serene river is only 30 minutes from La Fortuna and is abundant in wildlife.
You will really appreciate the wonders of this river and the surrounding rainforest as we float down the river without a motor, this way you will enjoy the trip leisurely paddling and taking photos.

This part of the river is rated Class 1 only for easy paddling over light rapids, but it flows at a steady speed to push you gently forward. The paddles are mainly used to steer in order to see both sides of the river to have a better vantage point to view wildlife. Your naturalist guide will make sure you see the best of the area.

During the bus trip, the guide will inform you about the farms along the way and the most important crops in the area, as well as the importance of some of them such as yucca, plantains, and pineapples for the development of Costa Rica.
