What you can expect

On this full-day exploration of the beautiful Chianti countryside, visit 2 of its principal towns: San Gimignano and Montalcino. Discover the beauty of these medieval centers and enjoy an optional typical lunch and samples of delicious Brunello wines at a local wine estate.

Your first stop is San Gimignano, an immaculate UNESCO World Heritage Site, known for its historic skyline dominated by brick towers. After your expert guide gives you great insight into the town's history and cultural significance, take some free time to browse the local artisan shops and splendid piazzas.

Travel to the town of Montalcino, set among 3,700 acres (1,500 ha) of Brunello vineyards that give the area its world-famous reputation, and admire the town's historical centre. Your final stop is at a local wine cellar for tastings of the renowned Brunello di Montalcino wine—some of the finest the country produces.
