When you arrive you will be greeted by a licensed guide who will fit a bike for you. Additionally, they will get you a bottle of water, or two depending on how hot the day is, offer insect repellent and/or sun cream if you desire, and offer our bathroom if you need it before the tour starts. Once all guests have arrived, or the start time is reached, the guide will get the tour started!
The guide will lead your ride through some of the most beautiful urban green spaces and architecture in America which is the Historic Landmark District of Savannah. Guests will bike to a spot, hear a storey, bike to the next spot, hear a storey, and so forth. Stories will include tales of Savannah's rich history including but not limited to the Colonial era, Antebellum era, Civil War era, and Victorian era. In addition to history, guests will learn a great deal about Savannah's stunning architecture, trees, and urban design. Guests will be introduced to a touch of modern Savannah, including the robust film industry here today. Of course, guests will be given recommendations on places to eat and drink post-tour in a “rolling concierge.” Last but not least, guests will be offered a photo opportunity or two with the iconic Forsyth Fountain and Spanish Moss as the backdrop. It didn't happen if there isn't a picture!
The tour will end where it started. Guests will be offered to be shown on a map everywhere the tour took them. Of course the bathroom will be made available again if needed. Be advised, there are bathrooms along the routes in case of emergencies along the way.
This tour is operated by a locally owned small business in Savannah that also happens to be veteran owned. $1 from each ticket purchased is donated to local charity.
