What you can expect

Cultural Sharjah in an English guided tour, also audio guided in Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, English, Chinese, Japanese, Russian & Korean

You will be picked up from your respective hotel in the morning and join us at Gray Line for a fantastic experience in our guided city tour of Sharjah, which is also known as the Pearl of the Gulf. Among the many landmarks located in Sharjah is the King Faisal Mosque, which is one of the largest mosques in the Emirates region. Here, you will be able to experience the essence of Emirati culture and listen to rich historical anecdotes of the city.

Next, travel back with us to the year 1820, as we visit the Fort of Sharjah for photostop only, which was the former home of the ruling family. Here, you can learn about the customs and traditions that are deeply rooted in the Emirati culture.

Lastly, continue to the Islamic Civilisation Museum, and have a chance to wander the enchanting Souk Al Arsa. You will also have a chance to visit the captivating souk al Markazi, which is a veritable treasure trove of carpets, jewelery, and intricate handicrafts, before ending the excursion.

The tour will end in Dubai Mall and you will be dropped off here to explore the rest of your day on your own.

The tour didn’t start on time But the transportation van was comfortable and clean. Audio guide was excellent with many facts and details and Dubai and Sharjah. But the stops were way too short, not enough time to finish looking at the museum just 45mins. So we had to constantly look at our watches. The driver was a very nice and friendly.

The tour highlights the sights of the beautiful city of Sharjah. An abundance of photo opportunities are available. In particular our tour guide Mahboob was excellent and very knowledgeable. Highly recommended.

We did not get response on email or phone call from the company about the pick up time. I emailed a couple times and even called Expedia to check on it but no response. The tour guide showed up 5 minuets before the tour started but told us that because it’s a Friday all the attractions were closed. Do we want to do something else instead but we insisted to go to Sharjah as we had already went to many attractions in Dubai. Because it was a Friday, all the attractions mentioned on the tour were closed. There was no audio guided tour of Sharjah nor any headset was offered to us. We had a driver and a escorted tour guide. His name is Mohammed. He will only answer questions if we asked. our tour was supposed to be 4 hours but was finished in 1.5 hours. We had 2 photos stop. It was at a mosque in a big roundabout with library and big building across the street. Then a local fish and vegetables market which sell fresh and live seafood. It worth a visit. Recommend no such tour on Friday!!!
