We will make your holiday in Sicily unforgettable thanks to the flavours and aromas of our splendid land. You will taste a thousand of ingredients wisely mixed together so as to never create monotony and you will discover new flavours through rich dishes with a scent of sea, almond, ricotta or even oil, earth, life, of something good.
Discover Sicily in its unique flavours, from Pachino cherry tomatoes to the pistachio of Bronte, a town located at the base of Etna volcano. I will delight you with the taste of aubergines while you prepare a plate of pasta “alla norma”, and discover the flavours of our sea through fresh fish from the local market, and flavoured with spices such as capers from the Aeolian Islands and olives born from the fertile volcanic land.

Activity itinerary

Meet up with the Chef Mimmo Siciliano in the historical centre of Taormina and visit the local market. Taste various fresh vegetable products, cheese sold by local sellers. Choose the dishes you would like to cook with the Chef, based on the fresh and seasonal ingredients you will find at the market. Transfer to the Restaurant "Ahoy Bistrò Siciliano" in Giardini Naxos (included in the price), 15 minutes from the market, facing the sea and the Bay of Naxos and Taormina. Start your experience with a wine tasting with focaccia, cold cuts, and local Sicilian cheese. After wearing the apron, you will prepare 3 traditional Sicilian dishes: an starter, a fish dish and six different types of fresh pasta homemade by you. And then you will sit at the table to enjoy a real typical Sicilian lunch, a few metres from the beach and the sea, with a final tasting of small traditional Sicilian Cannoli accompanied by a glass of Limoncello. At the end of the experience, customers will be taken back to the meeting point.

My wife and I were in Taormina for a few days and wanted to do something s little different and fun for our last day. Chef Mimmo provided a wonderful time and I learned some things about Sicilian food. We made some traditional dishes, pasta, and of course ate a lot. We met in Taormina and walked a short distance to a market, then a driver took us to Chef Mimmos restaurant by the sea for cooking. The driver took us back where we started. It was a very small group so it was easy to hear and participate in the activity.

Mimo was an amazing host and chef. We were the only guests in the tour and it was his first of the season. We had lots of time to learn to make the pasta, sauces and other dishes and ask lots of questions. We got to know his mother who also taught and showed us how to make things. There was so much food when we got done and all of it was delicious.

One of the best excursions we’ve ever done on any trip and we do a lot. The chef and his mom were amazing and they made the entire experience so much fun. We made our own lunch and then we ate like Kings and queens. Beautiful area looking right out at the water from where you are making the food. Would highly recommend this to any family.

Wonderful small group (5 people) experience with Chef Mimmo. The meetup at Porta Messina and transfer to/from the restaurant were easy. We had a great time making pasta (6 different shapes), 3 vegetarian dishes/sauces, and a fish dish. Best of all, we consumed our results accompanied by good wine and conversation with Chef Mimmo and others in our group. Definitely recommended!

Can not say enough about our class with Chef Mimmo! We had to skip the market tour due to it being closed but the experience was still so wonderful! The class is so hands-on and informative - Chef Mimmo and his team really make Italian cooking approachable while sharing fun facts and the history of Sicilian cuisine. The food was exceptional and the class was so fun! We highly recommend this experience to anyone looking to spend a fun afternoon learning, cooking, and enjoying typical Italian cuisine - can't wait to bring my skills at home.
