Get picked up from your Lisbon hotel and begin your incredible discovery of Portugal's fascinating culture. Begin at Fátima, where you learn about the apparitions of Virgin Mary that apparently occurred to a group of children in 1917. Discover the devotion to peace and spirituality at the Fátima Sanctuary. Continue to Batalha, and learn about the battle of Aljubarrota, one of the most consequential battles in Portuguese history. Admire the beautiful UNESCO-listed Batalha Monastery, built after the battle.

Drive to the scenic fishing village of Nazaré, where you have the opportunity of a delicious lunch of locally caught fish. Watch the fisherman haul in fresh catches and learn about another appearance of Virgin Mary—this one in 1182—and ponder this unique recurrence of divine intervention. Finally, arrive at Óbidos, a medieval town surrounded by a sturdy stone wall. Let your mind wander back hundreds of years as you get lost in the well-preserved architecture. At the end of the tour, return to your hotel in Lisbon.

Our tour guide was on time and very personable. He provided just the right amount of information and allowed us time to explore on our own. Because we were a small group he had access to very convenient parking at every site we went to. The best part was pickup at our hotel, it saves the hassle of trying to find their location. I would highly recommend this tour!
