Choose between 5 different tour routes:
• Tour North
Enchanted flights of stairs up and down, peppered with architectural highlights and impressive views, await you on our Stäffele tour through the typical half-heights of Stuttgart's north. Postdörfle, Hexenwäldle, Kriegsbergturm and Mönchhalde - the tour takes you from the Europaviertel district via the Chinese Garden, past the houses of the city's big names and even through a vineyard.
• Tour East
The Stäffele-Tour Ost takes you on untrodden paths through the east of Stuttgart. You will pass the home of opera diva Anna Sutter, who died a dramatic death there, and the Stuttgart Observatory, before climbing several flights of stairs to reach the Uhlandshöhe. After enjoying the panoramic view over the city, the route continues to the John Cranko Ballet School in its spectacular new building. Descend via one of the most beautiful staircases in the city: the Sängerstaffel.
• Tour South
On the Stäffele Tour South, you walk through beautiful residential areas in the green south of Stuttgart. First, you walk along the city's longest relay towards Karlshöhe past the Lapidarium. You then pass one of the vineyards of the city's winery. On the Karlshöhe, enjoy the panoramic view over the west and south. The route descends again over various panoramic stretches. You will also pass the Schwabtunnel, the widest road tunnel in Europe at the time.
• Tour West
The Stäffele Tour West takes you up numerous open-air staircases to the edge of the Kräherwald forest. You walk past magnificent villas and discover the charm of Stuttgart's west. From the Zeppelin viewing platform, you can enjoy a magnificent view over the west and the city centre. An entertaining tour awaits you on the trail of history, supplemented by amusing and interesting facts.
• Tour middle
One of the most famous staircases in the city is the so-called Eugenstaffel - because of the pretty fountain at the end, but above all because of the spectacular view from Eugensplatz. Find out on the spot what the Galatea and the curious pug statue on the square are all about. The Stäffele-Tour Mitte provides spectacular views of the city centre and takes you through some legendary staircases such as the Sünderstaffel. The tour ends back in the Kessel at the Stadtpalais.
