Participants will combine traditional yoga techniques with the added challenge of balancing on a paddle board in the water. Instructors will greet participants, explain the class plan, and answer any questions. Each participant will receive a paddle board and paddle and instructions on their use will be given. Basic paddling techniques and how to maintain balance on the board will be taught. The class will include a series of yoga postures adapted to be performed on the paddle board. These postures may include standing, sitting, and lying asanas, with a focus on improving balance and stability. At the end of the most intense postures, gentle stretching and a relaxation session will be performed to close the practice. Since the class concludes we will have a brief time to share experiences and answer questions about a future class or activity on the island.
