Day 1: Dushanbe
Arrival in Dushanbe international Airport and you will be met by our team and transferred to the hotel for chek in. Starting our tour around Dushanbe.
Places to visit in Dushanbe for today:
- Ismoili Somoni Monument and Rudaki park
- Rohat Chaikhana
- National Museum of Tajikistan
- Mehrgon Bazar
- Navuz Palace
- Independence Square.

Day 2: Dushanbe - Hissar - Dushanbe
After breakfast driving a little to Hissar fortress, museum and madrasah. Drive out of the city (30 km) to the remains of Hissar Fortress of 18 С. Visit two local madrasas and a mausoleum. Return to Dushanbe. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 3: Dushanbe – Istaravshan – Khujand
In the morning depart Dushanbe and drive to Khujand (300 km, 5-6 h). Drive through Anzob tunnel. Lunch at local Chaikhana. And drive through Shakhristan tunnel with stop in Istaravshan to have a look at Mug-tepa. Arrival in Khujand. Places that you visit in Khujand today:
- Pushkin Square with Kamoli Khujandi Square;
- Fortress of Timur Malik and Sogd Museum;
- Memorial complex of Muslihiddin;
- Panjshanbe bazaar
Overnight at the hotel.
Day 4: Khujand – Penjikent
Drive to Penjikent (260 km, 5-6 h).
Panjakent: an ancient welcome to Tajikistan!
Panjakent was once the capital of the Sogdian Empire, a Zoroastrian civilisation well predating Islam in the region. Places to visit in Panjakent:
- Sarazm: A stone’s throw away from the border crossing are the UNESCO-listed ruins of Sarazm. More than 5,500 years old, they’re remains of the first agricultural society in Central Asia.
- Panjakent Bazaar
- Panjakent Museum

Day 5: Panjakent- Seven Lakes( Haftkul) - Panjakent
After breakfast drive to Seven Lakes (160km total both way, 4-5h drive in total).
Haft Kul: 7 teary lakes
You will visit 6 lakes on car with a stop at each lake. Aside from the azure lakes, there are plenty of villages to wander through, with many kind locals happy invite travellers for tea. Then a short hike/walk to the final lake of Haft Kul, Hazor Chashma. The slope is gentle, the altitude low (the the lake is around 2,400 m/7870 ft). Later drive back to Panjakent for overnight. Overnight at hotel.
Day 6: Panjakent – Iskanderkul - Dushanbe
Breakfast. Drive to Iskanderkul (160 km, 3 h).According to the legend, the Lake Iskanderkul was named after Alexander the Great, known as Iskander in the East. People say that Alexander the Great's path to India passed by this lake. Later a short hike to 38m waterfall that is famous as “Fann's Niagara”. Later drive to Dushanbe for another overnight (120km, 3h). Overnight at hotel.
Day 7: Dushanbe - Home
In the morning after breakfast drive to Dushanbe international Airport for departure. End of tour!
