What you can expect
Explore the highlights of Uganda in the wilderness.
This tour is a road trip lasting 11 days and 10 nights. Accommodation is 3-4 star and on full board basis.
Day 1- Arrive Entebbe International airport. Met by your private guide and transfer to hotel in Entebbe, Bed and Breakfast
Day 2 - Transfer to Murchison falls National Park. Visit the Rhino at the Ziwa sanctuary and a stop for lunch. Later, stop over at the top of the Murchison falls to see the Nile thundering 60mtrs down on its way to Egypt. Overnight in the park
Day 3 - Morning game drive and after noon boat ride to the bottom of the falls. Overnight in the park
Day 4 - Transfer to Kibale forest National Park. Along the way, visit tea plantations and have a local lunch in fort portal. The park is home to over 300 bird species and the Chimpanzee. Overnight in the Kibale forest. Experience life in nature.
Day 5 - Trekking the chimpanzees in their natural habitat. 2-3 hours in the jungles listening to bird sounds, watching butterflies and certainly the playful chimps. Later we have lunch at a popular local restaurant where we learn about the evolution of Ugandan food.
Day 6 - Transfer to the Queen Elizabeth National park. Within this park there is Lake Edward and Lake George and the Kazinga channel. The vegetation in the park is mostly open savannah, green meadows, semi- deciduous tropical forests, dense equatorial rain forest and dense papyrus swamps. On arrival you will have lunch, and either relax at the lodge or go for an afternoon game drive. You might spot animals like elephants, Bufalloes, Impalas, Uganda Kobs and lions. Various birds can be spotted too and they include the African skimmer, Chapins flycatcher, Pink-backed pelicans, Papyrus canary, Shoebill stork, martial eagle. Overnight in the park.
Day 7 - Morning game drive, and later a boat cruise on the Kazinga channel which connects Lakes George and Edward. Local fishermen, bird and marine life will be the highlight.
Day 8- Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable forest National Park. This is your base to see the Mountain Gorillas. As we exit the park, we will chance on tree climbibg lions in the ishasha sector. Apart from the gorillas there are other animals like the 'Hoest's monkey, African elephant, African green broadbill, Grauer's rush warbler, Chaplin's flycatcher, African giant swallowtail among others.
Day 9 - Gorilla trekking. Start this awesome activity by 8am. It takes between 1 hour to 6 hours. In the afternoon, you will be treated to a relaxing body massage and later visit the Batwa community of pygmies.
Day 10 - Transfer to lake Mburo National park. Arrive in time for lunch, and then take a boat ride on the Lake Mburo. In the evening, we take an evening game drive.
Day 11 - Morning game drive as we exit the park to transfer to Entebbe for your international flight out as this is the end of the safari. Along the way, we stop over at the equator for the experience and lunch.
