Cetaceans in the Azores The Azores are a true oasis when it comes to cetacean observation, being possible to see around 28 different species throughout the year, this represents 1/3 of the world's known cetacean species. Our team is prepared to make it possible to observe these magnificent mammals, with the help of a “Watchman” (a member of our team located on land), located in a high area, where, through long-range binoculars and radio guidance, vessels about the whereabouts of cetaceans. This way we are able to maintain a cetacean sighting rate of over 90%. Sighting Guarantee When observing cetaceans, it is difficult to predict what behaviour and species will be possible to see. In this way, water4fun can only guarantee the sighting of at least one specimen of the cetacean order, and it is not possible to predict which or even the family (whales, dolphins, among others). If no specimen of the cetacean order is seen, the customer has the right to reschedule a second attempt, subject to company availability, completely free of charge, or as a last resort, request a full refund.
