"Absolute bargain price. Room was described as above the bar and may be noisy. We stayed a Sunday and Monday night, noise eas acceptable and did not disturb us. What did disturb us was the awful smell of smoke from the folks outside. This didnt happen on the Sunday night as the bar wasnt as busy and possibly no smokers. "We received a warm welcome during our overnight stay. Hotel room was spotless but a little cold. Temperature couldn't be raised above a set point of 21°c and was quite cold when the heating went off during the night. We dined at the hotel which was good but again public areas were cold. It was bitterly cold but hey it's the winter and we'd expect public areas to be heated to a conformable level without the need for a coat. "The manager of this place let us store our luggage for the morning before we left so we could tour more of the city. She was also so kind as to give us a lift to the train station when all of the cabs across the city were busy! Incredibly kind person and incredible place to stay."

"Clean, service was excellent, staff were friendly, attentive and welcoming. Food was nice and similarly priced to other restaurants. Got a nice pint of Guinness. Room had everything that was expected inc iron and ironing board, trouser press. I don't recall a hairdryer but would be surprised if there wasn't one."
