"A relatively small hotel that still maintains it's heritage. Staff were very pleasant and extremely helpful. The area around the hotel has seen better days but there are plenty of options within walking distance if you are doing the tourist things. The money we saved by staying here was well spent on a fantastic meal at Ministry of Crab!"

"Positives are that it's in a great central location near the Red Mosque and restaurants and a great price. The staff was really friendly and helpful as well and helped me arrange airport transportation. Negatives are that the internet didn't work the day I was there, the room A/C was set to 32 degrees and I couldn't adjust it, and the room and hotel itself seemed a little run down and creepy. I didn't mind too much since I was there for just a night before my flight home, though. Would recommend...

"Good central location in Colombo with at least two shopping centers nearby - one block away from the sea but there is no real beach there. You can still go enjoy the sunset. The room was ok for - quite large for its price, reasonably clean, but definitely required some maintenance in the bathroom. I stayed there for a day-long layover (6am to 11pm) between the flights: needed something inexpensive, central location, private bathroom and free wifi + ability to sleep for a couple of hours. "We walked in an apartment with dust and dirt on the floor, mould behind toilet door, mould on kitchen glass tray. They said this apartment was closed for some time. Housekeeping staff should be trained to check on details. Would not recommend for families who are particular about cleanliness. The management needs to take feedback seriously without giving excuses for lapses."
