"We were only here for one day before flying out. It's located in the heart of the city, and close to the big church, harbour and a multitude of shops and restaurants. The downside to the location, is that parking is not included. Street parking right outside the hotel is a P1 zone, so only valid for 3h in a 24hour period. We just parked around the corner. The walls are a little thin OR the doors are heavy, we could hear them slamming shut when other people were entering/leaving their rooms....

"Staff was wonderful! Only complaint is that the smoke alarm went off in the hotel due to a toaster! Got up at 7AM because someone in the dining room wanted crispy toast. So you're definitely safe here since their smoke alarms work really well."

"The Skuggi Hotel is ideally located in Reykjavik, with the Cathedral, City Centree and the Seafront being within walking distance. The Hotel itself was clean & smart, the bed was very comfy, and plenty of choice for breakfast. I would definetly stay at this Hotel again in the future. "

"The hotel is very well run. The staff are extremely friendly. We experienced a noisy neighbour and they were very empathetic and helped us to resolve the issue. They went the extra mile by gifting me a lovely note and chocolate for my birthday! Very easy access to your bus pick ups and convenient bus stop across the road into the centre. Breakfast was good and well organised "

"We booked this hotel due to its location opposite one of the pick up points for tours (Bus Stop 13) and its distance to downtown. 2 minute walk to the bus stop 13, local shop, and food hall (Hlemmur Mathöll). 5-10 minute walk to downtown with plenty of souvenir shops, and restaurants. The hotel was warm and clean with everything we needed. The staff were very friendly and helpful, we arrived at 8:30PM and had no issues with check-in.
