The staff are friendly and accommodating; the rooms are remarkably spacious (even if not impeccably clean due to lack of daily housekeeping since Covid); and the hotel location is excellent -- walking distance from the town center, the town hall, the Everyman's theatre, and the pubs/restaurants. "We had to change our booking - a long story but Sally at front desk was helpful in making sure everything was sorted. It's a shame we had to check out a day earlier than planned as our first night there was excellent - I slept brilliantly. If they could offer more dog friendly rooms, we could have stayed a second night. "
