"Wonderful stay, we utilized the shared kitchen and laundry room areas, they were clean and well kept. We had an emergency for which we had to contact the guesthouse manager, Ingi, at 12AM, and he picked up and helped us. Overall, staff was amazing and place was very neat, would stay here again!"

"The good: the breakfast was fantastic; parking was convenient; the beds were comfortable; hotel staff very kind; check-in and check-out very fast and easy The 'meh': not at walking distance from downtown (we had a car so we didn't care, but without it, it would've been inconvenient); it was a tad too hot in the room; no room service for stays up to 5 days - the say they're doing it for the environment, but they could at least sweep the floors with a broom (that's carbon neutral!)"

"I got my rental car broken into and my property stolen on the second to last night I was there. Has nothing to do with Bolholt I’m just saying be careful if you do stay here don’t leave anything in your car. Nice rooms comfortable and clean, 5 minute drive into the main part of the city."

"Bed and room were comfortable. Shower was terrible - very small and curtain clung to you the entire shower. Staff was very friendly. I was able to store my suitcases in the back room before checking in. Reykjavik is very walkable, lots of public transportation. One bad weather day I used the hopp app (like uber). Hotel close to sculpture walk and 15 minutes from the shopping area. Small grocery and atm available behind the hotel. "

"Comfortable and cosy apartment very centrally located but set in a quiet courtyard. Felt very safe and secure. Overall cleanliness was good but the tiles in the bathroom could have done with a scrub. I would also recommend a mat for the front door entrance to wipe slushy boots. Good value for money, would stay here again "

" I'm not sure if it's an Expedia problem of a Hotel Cabin problem... My confirmation clearly indicated "breakfast included". When I checked in, the front desk woman said that their confirmation was different an did not include breakfast. after showing my confirmation, she reluctantly said " we'll feed you". For the remainder of the stay .. when I went to breakfast, they would tell me that I had to pay. so to the front desk I would go, the front desk would say the same thing. "our computer...

"So this is a mixed bag review. Love the concept and the hotel itself is really nice, well run, and convenient. The convenience machine was out of order and they ran out of beer at the bar, but otherwise it’s a nice facility. The problem ended up being that I had a massive case of jet lag that triggered claustrophobic panic due to the small, somewhat cramped, room. So I had to leave and get another, more traditional, hotel. That said, the staff were AMAZING in helping me out. The hot tub is great...
