"Amazing stay at Hanaori! We stayed at the Deluxe Room with private open-air bath. Staff were wonderful, there's welcome-drink at the reception. The view was amazing; you can see the lake from the lobby & dining area. There's foot-onsen also overlooking the lake. Dining is all buffet, but it's the same every night / every morning. "Booked this room for the private onsen and it was quite a lovely experience. We brought our luggage to them early in the morning and asked them to hold it until our check in so we could explore and after we checked in and made it to our room they sent someone to bring the luggage up. There was a breakfast buffet included with our room and it had a really nice variety of foods from western to Japanese. Staff spoke great English "

"We arrived too early to check in but the staff who was there on the morning of 2/11 was so helpful in getting us situated with lockers to store our luggage until check-in time. We appreciated the helpfulness and patience of the staff member that day. She and another staff member were there at check-in at 3:00 and again they were so helpful. We would stay there again. The hotel is also so convenient due to being in walking distance to Atami Station as well as to bus and taxi hubs."

"Incredible hospitality and ryokan experience. Very traditional and a wonderful way to experience and appreciate Japan and Japanese culture (11th time here and have done ryokan before). Extensive kaiseki and some dishes you would never find on a restaurant menu. Place is extremely clean albeit showing a bit wear - and - tear with facilities. Do book private onsen outside. 10/10"

"At first I wasn't sure about this property being so far away from Mount Fuji (the reason we were in the area) however, we got there and the hotel is beautiful and the staff was very nice to us. The room was amazing and clean. the shower and body wash/shampoo/conditioner were all very statisfactory. We would love to stop by again if we are in the area. "
