"The hotel is modern and clean with a large bar / restaurant overlooking the racecourse. Rooms are a decent size and nicely furnished, with a huge walk in shower. We also had a racecourse view which was great. Breakfast was excellent, it's a buffet but with a decent range of good quality hot and cold options. Staff were all very friendly. Only disappointment is that there is an additional charge for parking of £5 per day, would have expected this to be free. "

"I swore to myself that I wouldn't use another ibis hotel after a horrendous stay in a Birmingham one many years ago. However I needed a hotel near to an event I was going to and because I'd left it late my usual hotel was full. It was only for one night so I figured I could cope with it. Yes, it was basic (clue in the name), but it was clean and the bed was comfy. I was expecting more noise later on but this was minimal and I was only woken up once. "Rooms at the front can be quite noisy with road traffic when its warm and you needvto open windows as no air con. Gym and spa are spacious and usesble. Breakfast is substantial and good food in the bar. Excellent location to walk or ride to explore clumver parklands."

"Satnav wasn't dead on and the hotel entrance is a little difficult to see but we did arrive and found the staff very friendly and helpful. Our room was guiet, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast was equally good. It a good location for us."
