3 Star Hotels in Hillsborough, Northern Ireland

"Absolute bargain price. Room was described as above the bar and may be noisy. We stayed a Sunday and Monday night, noise eas acceptable and did not disturb us. What did disturb us was the awful smell of smoke from the folks outside. This didnt happen on the Sunday night as the bar wasnt as busy and possibly no smokers. "We received a warm welcome during our overnight stay. Hotel room was spotless but a little cold. Temperature couldn't be raised above a set point of 21°c and was quite cold when the heating went off during the night. We dined at the hotel which was good but again public areas were cold. It was bitterly cold but hey it's the winter and we'd expect public areas to be heated to a conformable level without the need for a coat. When we entered the bedroom there was a stench coming from the shower...

"The staff are friendly but I had an issue with the shower being lukewarm to cold which was very disappointing when you stay at a hotel. I didn’t have a shower because the water was not warm enough. The food is good. On my previous stay the shower was just fine but at this time wasn’t and they didn’t offer to change rooms as they didn’t rectify the problem. "

"The manager of this place let us store our luggage for the morning before we left so we could tour more of the city. She was also so kind as to give us a lift to the train station when all of the cabs across the city were busy! Incredibly kind person and incredible place to stay."
