"The property looks like a makeshift building. Windows were covered with wooden panels, spiderwebs filled up spaces where the sunlight didn't reach, the bathroom was not clean and the mirror was bathed in calc. There's no reception to leave your bags. The chairs in the eating area are rusty and dirty."

"The building here is a bit old, and you can see the wear and tear in the space, but that just makes it interesting. This is a great, central, inexpensive space to stay when you see Jaffna. There's a restaurant below- a big cafeteria style front and a slightly hidden secret courtyard in back which is a beautiful place to spend an evening. I would spring for a room with AC, though, if you're new to SL. I was shocked at how much hotter Jaffna is than the rest of the country. The staff are...

"The parking area and the drive was muddy. When I came back after dinner around 9.30 pm the Auto dropped me outside the gate and ended up walking in soggy mud to reach the hotel foyer. After that spent about 20 to 30 miniutes cleaning my shoes. Not enough 13 amp socket outlets. Only one socket outlet for mobile router, mobile battery charger, etc. Some corners of the room floor, walls and the ceiling were not cleaned properly. See photos."

"D'Villa, one of the two properties owned by the owner of this place, is a welcoming and pleasant mansion. Guests occupy the upper part of the house, on the first floor. The rooms equipped with private bathroom surround a communal area tastefully decorated where one can have a breakfast or get involved in conversations with other travelers. Tea is free !
