"We really enjoyed our stay here. The view from the property is amazing. The staff here made our stay. Thusara and thushan were so accommodating and friendly it was sad to leave them. Also the walk into town isn’t far you can cut through over the train tracks. We had breakfast included and they have a decent variety of food. "Ella Retreat is a small, hillside resort of about 4 or 5 units ranging from small villas to glamping tents. The villa had a lovely outdoor decking area with hammock. The tent, an outdoor bathroom and fabulous views of the waterfall. The rooms are clean and tidy but do expect insects ( and monkeys) as the resort is in the jungle. The staff are v friendly and you can pre order food to eat at your villa. Not suitable if you have mobility issues as the resort is built into the steep hillside. You...
