"We really enjoyed our stay at the Outpost Inn. It felt like a rustic mountain lodge. The inn was actually redecorated when bought by the current owners. It was clean and the people working there were helpful. They had added some outdoor seating areas and a fire pit which is great for when the weather is nice. The price is good for the area. It was very close to the main street area with shops and restaurants. We'd stay there again as long as the price stays reasonable."

"Convenient to downtown, easy to walk to dining. Only thing the rooms need are bigger garbage can(s) and USB ports for charging. Staff was wonderful, Delores, Jane, Suzanne and Sherry the manager. All helpful and friendly. Oh Yea, need to get the propane tank filled for the outdoor fire pit."

"Loved this Victorian!! Beautiful home, porch, furniture, tall ceilings! Breakfast was awesome & tge sunroom/breakfast room was perfect! Paul is a wonderful host! A couple of feedback points: mattress in our room was uncomfirtable & sleep was difficult… I’m tall & toilet was VERY low… but loved the view, the town, the breezy from porch with rocking chairs!!!"

"We totally enjoyed our stay - the lay out of the house was perfect for our family of grown kids and their families. Location was great-close to Cashiers and Highlands. "The property was renovated however it slopes about 8 inches from one side to the other. This created the situation that the head of the bed was lower than the foot. The living room has a sofa but no tables to set drinks on. The second bedroom contained bunks and it was very cramped. So much so that the beds were not properly made up. "Lovely decor. Tucked into the mountain flora. The stream across the street and grassy area was delightful fun for kids to play in. Bed was incredibly comfortable. My wife wishes we knew the specific type of mattress so we could buy our own for home. The weather was nice so eating outside was good, but there is no table inside for eating. "
