"Booked this hotel as it was close to family we were visiting on a last minute trip. Ample parking on arrival and a very friendly helpful young gentleman at reception, he knew the answer to any questions we had and was so knowledgeable - a real credit to the hotel. "Our room was clean and comfortable with a lovely ensuite bathroom. Location is brilliant - about a 20 metre walk and you’re on the Old Course!! Parking was easy and free nearby. Be aware that, quite typically of St Andrew’s, there is no lift so make sure you’re up to climbing stairs and also getting your luggage up and down yourself! Staff were friendly, breakfast was excellent. Definitely recommend!!"

"I booked this late break, as my husband is recovering from a heart attack over Xmas and new year. It looked and read as wonderful so I went ahead and booked. When we arrived we were told it was the Gate House we were in! Unfortunately this house was caught in a Time Warp! Definitely not worth the money I paid. Very tired and dated, furniture and furnishings faded, ripped and very badly in need of a complete refurbishment "

"The place was lovely and generally the stay was great, only small downsides were the bed was a wee bit too hard for me and I woke up a bit sore and the WiFi didn’t work in our room but other than that it was a beautiful setting, clean room and would recommend anyone who has a wedding in St Andrews to stay here super close to drive to."

"Wonderful stay in this charming, quiet, self contained room. Good wi-fi, nice kitchen and good, modern bathroom. My only wish is that the room would have had a bath but I knew it didn’t at the time of booking, so no complaints. Hosts were excellent, very friendly and were very respectful of privacy. "
