"We stayed on a top floor room which had a lovely view of the lake, and also a second balcony overlooking the road. Others have mentioned the road noise; yes there is some noise but really we didn't find it disruptive. Have a look at the road on street view and you will see that although it is the 'main' lakeside road it isn't that busy by UK standards. Close the double glazed windows and you'll hardly hear it. We slept with them open with no problem. Obviously a lake view room is preferable, but...
