"I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Lapad so much. It is a beautiful property with comfortable and modern rooms. The pool is a delight on a very hot day (most days are hot). I really enjoyed the location and appreciated being away from the crowds of the historic centre. Plus, I arrived by ferry which is just on the other side of the harbour from the hotel, so it was super convenient. Also, the nearby restaurants are excellent. I highly recommend this hotel."

"Good proximity to the port for cruise arrivals or departures. If you have the Dubrovnik Pass you get free bus passes and have a short 1 minute walk to the bus stop and a 10 minute bus ride to the old town. There are some good restaurants on the street facing the port. Breakfast is good and the coffee is wonderful. Hotel is kept very clean and the employees are very attentive. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. "

"Everything was great during our stay. A/C could be better but worked well. Breakfast buffet was ver wide ranging and had plenty of options. Staff were great and friendly and helpful. Pools were nice but kids loved the slides but they get old ofter a few days. Overall great stay and great accommodations. Would come back here again. "

"We parked our car in the hotel for free and easily access the old town and the beach by bus! The hotel was very clean and the staff were friendly. "

"Our stay at Valamar Lacroma was delightful! We informed them we were on our honeymoon and they upgraded our room to a stunning Suite, such a thoughtful gesture! We especially loved every staff member we met, their service was top tier. We especially want to give a shout out to Dubravka and Hrvoje at the front desk who helped us with a very complicated issue and spent quite some time translating for us! We also got great recommendations and service from Dominik and Marin! Also have to mention breakfast, loved the selections! One side note, you do have to walk pretty far for the beach. We definitely wished that there was a more private beach option we could use with lounge chairs that you don't have to pay for. "

"What an absolutely amazing place. We have fallen in love with the hotel and the Island and didn’t want to leave. However we did have a mess up at check in which I think the hotel could have handled differently. We checked in ( after the stated check in time ) and were given our room but when we got to the room it was already occupied. We were told by reception to take a seat and they would look for another room. The hotel was obviously not full but we were kept waiting for about 2 hours. Personally I didn’t think the receptionist really knew how to deal with the situation. Anyway we eventually got given another room which was fine. The place is so relaxing that the check in incident was soon forgotten. Breakfast is basic but ok. All staff were great and friendly, but a special mention and thank you to Venus who looks after the beach, so helpful and friendly. By far the most helpful member of staff at the hotel. We will definitely be back "
