"A beautiful hotel in a beautiful setting. It is an enormous building and can take four minutes to walk from one end to the other, usually up and down a lot of stairs! Didn't realise that rooms are only made up every three days, unless you request otherwise. Disappointing for a four star hotel. Will know in future!"

"Very good location, handy for nice restaurants, pubs and museums. Quiet/safe area. Beautiful entrance/staircase in the hotel plus the dining area we used for breakfast was equally impressive. The full English breakfast was nice although poached eggs were overcooked. We were not waiting long, but I think that we had been forgotten about as breakfast overall was tasty but not piping hot. As well as the cooked breakfast there were self service cereals, toast etc. No pastries, fruit or cooked...

"For an overnight on business this is ideal. Clean room, decent shower, comfy bed and good wifi. I only put wifi last because its work. Friendly staff and the food in the pub next door is quite nice , you know a variety of favourites from a chain pub yet good value. "

We stayed on the other side of the hotel this time and the bathrooms felt a little tired and the rooms Smaller, but it was one night and good. Breakfast has a good choice, we asked for some food to be replenished and they did. "

"Stayed in the log style cabins. Lovely place to stay. Clean and tidy. Quiet and tranquil with lovely surroundings. I was very impressed with the accommodation and grounds. There is limited parking. We had a dedicated parking spot for our cabin and someone on the 2nd night decided to park their car there for the last few nights of our stay. I asked receiption twice to get it moved and nothing was done. I had to park down the road which was annoying. Also the silicone in both bathrooms was...

"We booked a Luxury Suite which was very spacious with it’s own dressing area. The hotel is very grande and the reception room on the main floor was very relaxing for a coffee and cake. Wish we had more time to explore the hotel grounds. "
