"On arrival the room was not an executive room the air con control wouldn't respond due to wear,also the lights in the shower were faulty & the final straw was the safe didn't operate. On complaining the Manager move use to a suite which was exceptional but the only criticism of the suite was a 7 in the morning the downstairs speakers from the restaurant were clearly heard in the room I suppose the £5M upgrade forgot that small item of sound proofing. I certainly would have expected a refund...

"Stayed here as we were at the Robbie Fowler event- the hotel was fine - huge super king bed and massive television! Complimentary toiletries, 2 bottles of water in the fridge was a nice touch "

"Beautiful castle and surrounding, although room update is required. Carpets and furniture worn out. A tiny TV in the biggest room of the castle(Prince of Wales), need atleast 55 inch smart tv for the suxe of the room. Staff were lovely and polite. Altogether lovely castle hotel apart from the some renovation and changes which are needed."

"The property was ideal for our break, very clean and well kept. Staff that we interacted with were friendly and helpful and polite. The only thing we were disappointed with was that the sauna wasn't in operation but everything else was great and as described. We travelled to Chester by train and found the public transport and taxis very reasonably priced with the local buses stopping almost outside of the hotel drive. We would have no hesitation in staying here again, a very good experience...

"Staff were very helpful. Receptionist let us swap rooms when allocated room was right next to lift & I was worried I wouldn’t sleep because of noise. One of the housekeeping staff ran my partner to the wedding venue we had been at the day before when he was unable to get a taxi "

"We loved this hotel, great style, beautifully decorated, good quality, spacious room with very comfortable bed, excellent bathroom, warm, lots of hot water, excellent breakfast, very friendly staff. Easy to travel into the city centre by bus. We would love to return."
