"It saddens me to say but this is not the same hotel it was 8-9 years ago. I stay frequently, always in a luxury room. The hotel is in need of updating. Things like electric outlets and wall switches and plumbing fixtures often don’t work properly. The carpet is getting sketchy. Also, I often see fairly aggressive upselling on check in, something that never happened in the past. I continue to stay here because the location is unsurpassed. "What a wonderful hotel! From the lovely check in staff, to the beautiful room, we had an amazing stay. We were celebrating an anniversary, and received a lovely card and bottle of prosecco. Such a lovely surprise. The bed was large and very comfortable, the view over London, with the Shard, was spectacular. "It was our very first time at the Langham, yet we were spoiled from the moment we stepped in, as one would expect if a frequent visitor. We were surprisingly updated to a 1 bedroom suite and this made our stay even more comfortable. All the staff was extremely friendly and ready to satisfy our requests. On top of all this the location of the Langham is just perfect to easily get around on foot. Overall a 5 star stay and a very well done to all the staff."

"First impressions stay with you unfortunately. We checked in before our room was ready - absolutely no problem, On return, and after a very tiring day - we had to make 3 trips to and from reception as the key we were given didn’t work. No apology for the inconvenience. Maintenance then came and the issue fixed and he was very apologetic. We had to rescan our card for ‘extras’ and I didn’t like to see mine and other guests check in forms left on the front desk for all to see - a gdpr issue....
