"There were some unfair comments online made about the hotel which I disagree with. The hotel met our expectations and the staff were very friendly and helpful. It was just transitioning into Christmas and the decorations and aroma in reception and the lounges was beautiful. The Spa was reasonably quiet and we found the saunas and outdoor pool to be clean and enjoyable. Our room was also lovely and our only issue was that it took ages to get warm (not hot) water from bath and sink taps. The towel...

"Amazing hotel. Would recommend for sure. Such friendly staff. Few niggles that were sorted like room nor made up until 3pm, breakfast was soooo slow and not much service in the bar. You can’t use the spa other than hours that don’t really suit so be aware the pools are not for general use all day. Don’t be fooled. I would 100% return "

"We chose Leighton House because it had free onsite parking while still being walkable to the center of town. Room was great, very clean and spacious. Great shower. Breakfast was fantastic. Location was great for us - very quiet with little traffic going by, yet still only ~15 minute easy walk into the town, where we went for a spa visit and dinner. Overall, a great stay and I would highly recommend!"

"Beautiful setting, lovely service, great food, overall it was a great experience. The only thing is that they could do with a better organisation for the breakfast: the wait is too long (45 minutes to get our food, lots of time waiting on line to be seated) and the buffet is way too small for the number of guests (it would continuously run out of food). That’s only remark of an otherwise fantastic experience!"

"The hotel was conveniently located for walking in to town which was a 5 to 6 minute walk. The hotel could do with some TLC as it did look a little shabby in our room. The carpet had stains, the curtains had water damage and it looked like there’d been a small leak in the bathroom as the wood was damaged. Also the outside of the building could do with being jet washed. The staff were all very polite and helpful and the breakfast was great. "

"Lovely Friendly staff. Accommodating with room change. Good very good and nice size portions. Gluten free fish and chips was amazing. Only minor downs, No gluten free biscuit in room as promised. No exchange of gluten free bread with starter (wasn’t hungry enough to ask, I’m sure they would have brought if asked) Bathroom, walls looked very wet and paint peeling off. "
