Unassuming from the outside but airy, clean and calm inside, the service was first class, the room was terrific - quiet, clean and with tea, coffee and fresh milk, you couldn't ask for more from a guest house. The parking was secure and attached to the house. All in all, hard to beat.
Wonderful experience and would recommend to anyone. Friendly and helpful hosts. Only very minor flaw—no light next to sofa to facilitate reading there.
Nice B&B. I stayed in a single en-suite room. The room was an adequate size with the bonus of having a toilet and shower. I find a lot of B&Bs don’t offer this with single rooms. The room also had a little flat screen tv and a fridge. Yet another bonus. The room also had a velux window with a blackout blind which is a plus. The only negative was the noise from a nearby seagulls’ nest but that has nothing to do with the property, that’s just Aberdeen in general.
There are plenty of parking spaces at Cedars too, both at the front and back of the property.
Breakfast was good with a decent selection. The owners are a nice couple and the business has been in the family since the 1970s. I’d definitely stay again if on business in Aberdeen.
There was one negative
I have stayed here a few times as well as many other guest houses and b&bs in Aberdeen and this is the best in my opinion. Spacious rooms, big clean comfortable bed and furniture with a very friendly welcome. As a single traveller I typically pay between £45 and £50 per night and at this rate you would struggle to find better value for money anywhere else in Aberdeen.
Wonderful place with even greater hosts. Nigel and Mandy couldn’t do enough to make us fell at home and went so far as to drive the four of us downtown and provided a history lesson on the way. Can’t say enough good things.
