"Wed night Thames water decided to dig up Folley Bridge at 11.15pm. Unbelievably loud pneumatic drills being used to break up the concrete. This disturbance went on until about 3am. A total nightmare. Obviously not the fault of the Head of the River, but i hope HOTR will complain to the council for sanctioning these roadworks to begin at 11:15pm right next door to a hotel full of guests. Other than that, a perfect stay in Oxford and i fully recommend the HOTR as an ideal location with lovely...

"(Stayed in Room 2) Firstly the food was absolutely fantastic! I mean wow, wow, wow. Devoured the lot! 5* for the food. We would happily come for dinner again and again. The room was pleasant, clean and the bath was lovely and spacious (could fit two SLIM people satisfactory). Loved the tea selection and mini fridge compliments as well! "The hotel itself was beautiful, the staff were warm and welcoming. We stayed on a Wednesday which is steak night so if you want a meal there make sure you book first as it was very busy. It was also a bit pricey .Went for a lovely Country walk for an hour or so around the area till it got dark. Only down side was breakfast. I only book a hotel where breakfast is included but here you only have cold breakfast (which was ok & good choice) but if you want hot food or a good old fry up, you have to...
