Lakeview cottage on Mazinaw Lake

This cosy 500 sqf cottage over looks the beautiful Mazinaw Lake. Only 7 km from Bon Echo Provincial park to go swimming at their sandy beach.

Unfortunately, we don't have access to Mazinaw Lake.

Great for hunters, fishermen and snowmobilers!

Supposedly a rustic cottage
BUT lots more comments and pics to follow, if feasible. Overall, the hostess seemed to be a gruff old school-marm

The night before arriving we got an email indicating that we were expected to clean the cottage before departing even though there is a standard cleaning charge. Nothing was listed regarding that we had to clean the cottage in the booking. There was nothing to clean with ie: dish towels or paper towels. No bedding/towels were included and there was no indication that "linen not included" in the listing. This cottage is on HWY 41 which has a surprising number of large noisy trucks. The interior has not been updated in decades and gives it a very unclean look.

Charming Mazinaw Lake Getaway
We had an amazing time at this cozy cottage on Mazinaw Lake! We stayed two nights in a very hot July and we really appreciated being able to return to a cool interior while we enjoyed the area. The cottage is kitted out with everything you need and more for a variety of interests, including things like furnishings (BYO linens), board games, TV, WiFi, a complete kitchen with cutlery and dishes, a fireplace, bbq/grill on the deck, a fire pit with some room for outdoor activities, etc. Way more than we had time for during our visit! It would be a great place for a small family. There is a provincial park nearby, and several townships down the road for groceries and anything else. The view from the deck is absolutely gorgeous. It is set up nice with a table and comfortable chairs for a good spot to relax and chat. Some noise from passing traffic, but nothing crazy. There are mosquitoes so be prepared. We toured the area but spent most of our time on the covered deck enjoying the view, rain and shine. All in all a very smooth and relaxing getaway. The host was very responsive and easy to talk to. We're looking forward to staying again in the future!
