WITHIN 5 KILOMETRES:

The apartment is not in the flight path. West Beach is the closest beach to Adelaide and yet very quiet and almost 'country like'.

Acushla is situated between the West Beach Surf Life Saving Club, 100 metres south for great views and meals and the Henley Sailing Club for coffee and light snacks. Further south is the Adelaide Sailing Club (open to the public for evening meals and Sunday lunch).

Glenelg to the south, a 4 minute car ride, has Jetty Rd busy with wonderful restaurants and excellent shopping.


There is a large black information folder with maps, tourism brochures, bus timetables, nearby restaurant menus and take away menus etc.

Dolphins, pelicans and sunsets!

Watch for dolphins and cruising pelicans!

Almost like clockwork, just before sunset, dolphins appear out front....

Photo #3 is of a pod of dolphins in a flat sea at sunset taken in November from the apartment with my mobile phone! Unfortunately, it's not a very good photo but there were at least 6 that I could see just swimming around for ages.

Late August, I spotted a dolphin and her calf directly in front of the apartment! And the baby started jumping right out of the water, again and again!

Just under 500 metres away to the north, is the River Torrens Outlet where pelicans wait for fishermen to hand feed them their catch! They can also be found on Henley Jetty, being just as patient and hopeful!

Great spot!
We spent a lovely couple of days at Acushla exploring Adelaide. The view is great and the walking / cycling path at your doorstep is a great way to explore the local area. Once the shower is remodelled (coming shortly I believe) all will be perfect!

Lovely place to stay
Our family enjoyed a relaxing week stay at Acushla accommodation. The kitchen is amazing, with everything you could possibly need. Loved the washing machine and combined dryer. Views from the rooms are incredible. There is alot of attention to detail to the little things you would need on a trip, like beach chairs, beach towels, extra blankets, bathrobes. Even the kids are thought of with games and dvds. Would be happy to stay here again!

An excellent stay at an excellent locaton.
Our three week stay was exactly what we expected and what we wanted. The description of the apartment was very accurate. We used Stop 13A Military Road many times to visit the city. Drake's supermarket was close enough, and had a good selection. We enjoyed the Torrens Linear Trail. But mainly we enjoyed the proximity of the beach, and the view from the apartment living area.

Neat pad
This apartment is simple but had everything you need. There is no outdoor balcony but there is an enclosed area with windows to the floor overlooking the sea. The window was incredibly stiff to open - it may break unless fixed asap. A cute little table in this space, to eat breakfast made in the easy to use kitchen, was the highlight of my stay.

Great views close to Harbour Town and Glenelg. Kitchen layout and lounge all good and bathroom. Main bed is very hard and uncomfortable and the kettle needs updating. Stairs are the only way in and out of the apartment so if you are not physically able it is a problem. Parking is good.

Wonderful apartment!
We had a wonderful holiday in Adelaide and loved staying at Acushla. Location is perfect and we loved heading to the beach in the morning and evening and then heading out during the day. Very exciting to see the dolphins a couple of times. Wonderful views and perfect to watch the sun go down and admire the sunsets. Everything you need is in the apartment and apart from the bed being a bit firm for me, we had a very enjoyable and comfortable stay. The owner couldn't have been more friendly and helpful.
