"Great stay at Acquaviva. We got a nice room with lake view and Balcony. Staff was courteous and nice. Breakfast had a lot of options. Hotel is a 45 mins walk to downtown Desenzano (lake front walk with a great view) and 1:30 walk to Sirmione. We absolutely adored the tratoria del pescatore that is a few blocks away. Spa was great too, the only down thing is that there is no spa tub like advised and they force you to wear a swim cap"

"Very nice hotel in a beautiful central location close to the ferry port and with a view of the lake. It is a ten minute walk from the train station. The rooms were comfortable with all the expected facilities. Breakfast had a wide range of continental choices as well as scrambled eggs and bacon. The coffee was excellent. There are a wide range of bars, restaurants and shops close by. If I were visiting Desenzano in the future I would have no hesitation in staying at Hotel Tripoli. "

A bakery and small market were directly across from us, information office around corner, the ferry dock 2 minute walk, and more restaurants, bars, cafes within 3 minutes than we could begin to get to. One small issue with our unit; no electrical outlets on kitchen counter (had to use tea kettle in bathroom) & pots and pans were on top shelf ( my wife wouldn’t have been able to reach them).
